    Summary

The speakers reflected on the Lord’s compassion, the church’s calling, and practical questions about Christian life and service. Physical healings in Scripture are signs pointing beyond themselves to Christ’s deeper work: giving life to the spiritually dead and progressively restoring believers. God can still heal physically, and the gift of prophecy continues in the biblical sense of Spirit-enabled speech that edifies, encourages, and consoles. Any claimed revelation must be tested by Scripture, whose authority is complete.

Compassion is not merely a scheduled activity but the fruit of living in the Spirit and being conformed to Christ. Like Mary, believers must remain occupied with the Lord even amid duties. The speakers distinguished godly discernment from a critical spirit: sin should be addressed when necessary, but with humility, prayer, tenderness, and submission to Scripture. When helping others, examine one’s motives, pray, speak truth in love, and recognize that growth may look different from person to person.

Serving by the Spirit still involves effort; the key is its source—dependence on God’s grace rather than self-reliance. Irritability and conflict may expose fleshly striving, while failure can lead believers to rely more fully on Christ. Trials are not proof that God has rejected us; endurance grows as we trust his presence and care, and suffering can deepen compassion for others.

The Great Commission involves prayer, personal witness, discipleship, and nurturing new believers. At work, Christians should respect appropriate rules, live consistently, and speak of their faith when opportunities arise. The church is imperfect, yet believers should bear one another’s burdens and seek renewal through the Spirit. The conference concluded by encouraging all to offer their lives willingly to the Lord’s service.

    Scriptures Referenced
    Matthew 7:1-5

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother’s eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother’s eye.

    Galatians 5:14-26

14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 15 But if ye bite and devour one another, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. 16 This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh. 17 For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18 But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19 Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. 22 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, 23 Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law. 24 And they that are Christ’s have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts. 25 If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit. 26 Let us not be desirous of vain glory, provoking one another, envying one another.

    John 4:35

35 Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest.

    1 Corinthians 14:3

3 But he that prophesieth speaketh unto men to edification, and exhortation, and comfort.

    1 Corinthians 5:12

12 For what have I to do to judge them also that are without? do not ye judge them that are within?
