John's Ministry of Recovery
God is wanting to bring us back to the beginning.
- In the beginning was the Word.
- Full recovery means that we must go back to Christ. We must get our eyes off of man and onto Christ.
The ministry of John is the ministry of life.
- The key to recovery is to return to that which ministers life. Whatever minisers life is of God. That which ministers death is of self.
- Recovery means turning back to Christ, who is the life.
- There is a vast difference in eating of the fruit of the tree of life (Christ) and eating of the fruit of the knowledge of good and evil, that leads to death.
17 And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying unto me, Fear not; I am the first and the last: 18 I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.
13 These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God.
1 That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; 2 (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;) 3 That which we have seen and heard declare we unto you, that ye also may have fellowship with us: and truly our fellowship is with the Father, and with his Son Jesus Christ. 4 And these things write we unto you, that your joy may be full.
31 But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
