Johannes reflects on the sovereignty of God in world events, emphasizing that history is ultimately driven by God's purposes, especially concerning His elect—both the church and Israel. He shares his personal journey of understanding Israel's significance, especially after the rebirth of the nation in 1980, and how prayer and intercession played a role in God's plans, such as the fall of the Soviet Union. Johannes underscores that God's focus is on fulfilling His purposes through His elect, not on political systems or worldly nations, which are passing away. He highlights the importance of preaching the Gospel of the Kingdom to all nations, especially the unreached, and stresses that the church's role is to be a witness, not to attempt to save the world or nations. Johannes warns against distractions and false teachings, such as extreme manifestations not found in Scripture, which can divert believers from God's true purpose. He advocates for unity within the body of Christ, emphasizing that the bride must be prepared and made ready for Christ's return. The ultimate goal is the fulfillment of God's plan: the preaching of the Gospel to all nations, the salvation of Israel, and the unity of believers, all for the sake of His elect. Johannes urges believers to discern God's heart and stay focused on His divine purposes.
22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened.
31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect’s sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.
14 And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.
25 For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits; that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. 26 And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn away ungodliness from Jacob:
