This message highlights some of the epistle of 1st John's exortations to 'little children'. John calls these little children to know that they are children, abide with the Father, overcome the world, and guard themselves from idols.
21 Little children, keep yourselves from idols. Amen.
4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.
18 My little children, let us not love in word, neither in tongue; but in deed and in truth.
28 And now, little children, abide in him; that, when he shall appear, we may have confidence, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
12 I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name’s sake. 13 I write unto you, fathers, because ye have known him that is from the beginning. I write unto you, young men, because ye have overcome the wicked one. I write unto you, little children, because ye have known the Father.
1 My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: 2 And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.
14 But when Jesus saw it, he was much displeased, and said unto them, Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not: for of such is the kingdom of God. 15 Verily I say unto you, Whosoever shall not receive the kingdom of God as a little child, he shall not enter therein.
