This is a new and revised edition of a previous book on the subject of the Tabernacle or Tent Of Meeting which I wrote under the title of According to the Pattern.

There is much here that was found there, but there is more also, and an emphasis is found here that was not there. It is an emphasis that has been an inspiration and instruction to my own public ministry, and that brings out one important objective of all spiritual service.

I believe there is spiritual value and meaning in every detail provided concerning this Tent Of His Splendour, but I have not discussed every detail for two reasons:

1. I have not finished learning myself, and do not want to go beyond my present spiritual and practical apprehension into fanciful or doubtful interpretation.
2. To digress into the examination of too much detail would possibly result in our missing the more important emphasis and message.

I commend this book, therefore, to my readers, not because I am in any way an authority on this subject, but rather in the hope that in sharing together what the Lord has taught us, we may together come closer to His thought and purpose in our Calling.
